Thankfulness: The Celebration of Grace

We often speak of thankfulness, but Scripture shows that genuine gratitude is far deeper than polite words or seasonal sentiment. True thankfulness is the joyful response of a heart awakened by God’s grace. Paul’s letter to the Colossians reminds us that thankfulness does not begin with our circumstances but with the saving work of God—His rescue, His forgiveness, and His transforming presence in our lives. When we see what God has done for us in Christ, thankfulness becomes not an occasional expression, but a way of life.  Christian thankfulness is born from redemption, becomes a way of life, and overflows within the church. Looking at Paul’s letter to the Colossians we will explore these ideas together this morning.
